That’s it. It’s official — I’m a REAL genius. Alias’ web site says so.
Excellent, a superior performance–ten out of ten answers were correct.
If you got a perfect score on the first try then you’re a REAL genius.
Here’s the challenge:
Take a look at the ten images below. Some of them are photographs
of real objects or scenes, others are created by computer graphics
(CG) artists. Test your ability to tell which among the array of
images are real, and which are CG.
Give it a try!

PC INSPECTOR File Recovery looks like it could be a cheaper alternative to File Scavenger (from QueTek) which I used quite successfully to recover from a recent harddisk failure.

I never thought I’d want to listen to Paul Anka, even if he is Canadian but a friend at work said:
I have a CD of which I feel you must sample at least 20-30 seconds
of each song. … This is just not some funny random
songs. This has class…trust me!
The
CD was Paul Anka’s Rock Swings which was quite a trip. This may ruin
the surprise for some but Paul does swing versions of a bunch of pretty
well known rock songs. I won’t tell you which ones becauseI had fun trying to guess them while listening. You may want to do the same a compare your score. Here’s how I fared.
After first 5 tracks I said "crap! I’m 0 for 5 on knowing who the original artist is but 4 for 5 on recognizing the song."
After 9 tracks "whew… stats are climbing… 4 for 9".
And finally:
I did much better in the second half. The final
tally: 8 of 14 artists, 13 of 14 songs.
For songs, my criteria was do I recognize it
’cause I can NEVER remember song titles.
For artist, I had to come up with the
name.
Curiosity drove me to listen to the first song on the web. Amazingly,
I remember their version (but only barely)
so Paul’s cover obfuscates the song perfectly.
